Chai Mitzvah’s “booth” in the NewCAJE virtual Exhibit Hall
NewCAJE is the premier professional development conference for Jewish educators. Each year 400+ educators gather for four days of in-person learning, entertainment, prayer, and networking opportunities – and each year Chai Mitzvah participates – teaching sessions and hosting a booth in the Exhibit Hall.
This year, NewCAJE is being held virtually from July 6 to August 2, with more than 800 educators participating.
Chai Mitzvah held a session on July 9 that was attended by more than 80 educators entitled, Moving (or Zooming?) Forward: Flexible Programming for Whatever Happens Next Year.
Attendees explored Chai Mitzvah’s ready, flexible programming that works both virtually and in person. They examined personal values through text-based conversations and experienced the activities designed for teens and families which include videos, apps and music. Educators downloaded materials they can use: A Guide to Social Action with Social Distance, Standard Topics, Aseret: the Big Ten, Mussar, and Mixtape (Bible Raps).
It was wonderful learning with the educators and sharing materials. We welcome the new groups that have formed from our meeting at NewCAJE!
