Reb Deb’s Hanukkah Prayer

As we enter this season of less daylight and colder temperatures on the thermometer, it is also a time of cheshbon ha nefesh, a time of checking our internal temperatures. I look at this time of year as one of especially welcoming God into our souls, of kindling the lights of gratitude and blessings for the many gifts we receive from God each day. As we approach Hanukkah, we count the many bright lights around us, both literally and metaphorically. These lights remind us to express our gratitude to the Source of All Life for the gifts of Life…

I’d like to share my original prayer, And So I am Blessed.

Happy Hanukkah!
Rabbi Debra Smith (Reb Deb)
