The High Holidays are Coming

I love this time of year because the High Holidays are soon! To me this is the time of newness. The High holidays are a time to think about life, share stories and food. I have acquired a new Jewish cookbook, which I love looking through, for not only the recipes but the stories. All of our holidays revolve around food. I will find a new recipe to make for Rosh Hashana dinner.

My favorite part is making my challah round! I will stuff some with apples and cinnamon.
Leftovers make really good french toast! 

I also start to think about what can I do this year that is different. Can I learn something new? I am going to learn how to play Mah-Jongg. 

I know that there are other things that I have not learned. I am looking forward to using our new Rosh Chodesh curriculum and learning about some amazing Jewish Women. I think that you might like to try it too!
