At Services this past Friday evening right before New Year’s Eve, I asked my congregants what they hoped for in the New Year 2023. While it might have been phrased differently by each one who responded to my query, the common thread was that people hoped for a better sense of connection: connection between themselves and others, connection on a family level, connection among communities, among faiths and races, connection on a global level.
Interestingly, The New York Times on New Years’ Day also had an article telling us that for over 80 years Harvard researchers studied what makes for a good life, and they found one scientifically proven predictor of happiness: developing warmer interpersonal relationships.
How do we at Chai Mitzvah help make this hope for interpersonal connection a reality for our supporters and participants in 2023?
We offer an array of courses that help people connect with their Judaism and with others. Our offerings support broader connections on a family, community and global level.
We encourage you to explore our website at www.chaimitzvah.org and find ways to connect and become part of the Chai Mitzvah community and then bring that connection back to your families, friends, social groups and communities.
Whether you are an adult, teen, grandparent, young parent, or older adult, there are so many ways for you to become a member of the Chai Mitzvah network.
Travel the path of your Jewish journey with a community of other seekers and travelers and let Chai Mitzvah be part of your journey.
We hope you will join us in 2023!
