Things I Can Do to Make the World a Better Place

by Michalee Merritt

After Yom Kippur I start to think of things that I can do to make the world a better place. But before I can think of doing things like that, I have to take care of myself. I make sure that I am true to myself. For example, I remind myself not to tell someone that I run into at the grocery store that we should get together for coffee and that I will reach out to them, when I know that I won’t ever make plans.

Honesty is hard. Is it ever ok to tell a little lie?

This and other questions will be part of a new program, #10XSTRONGER,  that is starting soon!

The program will have two components:

#10XSTRONGER WORKSHOP (Join our virtual or facilitate your own.) – 10 relevant text-based conversations, perfect for book group style discussions, and #10XSTRONGER 30 DAY CHALLENGE – You’ll receive a daily inspiration and be challenged to do some tasks. Finally, you’ll have the opportunity to journal about your experience. You can invite friends and family to participate in this challenge with you and connect with the larger Jewish community. (Keep your eyes open, the #10XSTRONGER 30 DAY CHALLENGE is coming soon!)

The first virtual #10XSTRONGER WORKSHOP will be held on Monday, November 4 at 7:30 PM ET. Here is the link to register. Please join us!
