“I’m sitting in my home in Toronto, Canada and appreciating every moment.” Marlene S., a Mussar class participant writes.
As the Chai Mitzvah Mussar instructor, I also appreciate every moment of sharing with our wonderful Mussar learners.
In fact, One of the most wonderful opportunities I’ve had during the COVID-19 pandemic has been to teach Chai Mitzvah‘s virtual Mussar class. It is so gratifying to facilitate what has come to be an ever growing community of learners who have bonded and formed a supportive community over these past months. From its pre-pandemic beginning to now, our Chai Mitzvah Mussar community has grown from a group of four to a group of more than 20 members.
Chai Mitzvah’s virtual Mussar class meets the first Monday of the month from 7:30 to 8:30 PM. We study a different middah, or character trait, each month such as generosity, gratitude, patience etc. We study and discuss different texts related to the middah and also discuss and share ideas for developing a personal social justice practice related to each one.
“I look forward to learning more,” says Ivy S., Mussar class participant. And I, too, look forward to continuing to teach our Virtual Mussar classes and to learn and share with all of Chai Mitzvah’s Mussar class participants.
All are welcome to join our group. Please click here for information on Chai Mitzvah’s virtual programs.
