HOT OFF THE PRESS! Conspiracy U

Scott Shay, our Board Chair and Founder’s new book Conspiracy U: A Case Study has just been published and is now available for sale. It couldn’t have come at a more auspicious time, with the rise of anti-Semitism and the challenges many college students face on their campuses.

Taking a deep dive into anti-Zionism Conspiracy Theories on the right and the left, highlighting Northwestern University (although
it could have been at any number of campuses). Scott distinguishes in great detail when disagreeing with Israel’s policies crosses the line into anti-Zionist conspiracy  theory.

“Chai Mitzvah was challenged it to make the book come alive for students.” says Executive Director, Audrey Lichter.

To that end, we have developed a number of initiatives and granting opportunities:
1. We have developed a 5-part lesson series to accompany the book with videos and excerpts from the book, available at no charge,  to be used by anyone who wants to facilitate a discussion around Conspiracy U.
2. We are offering a $500 grant to students and organizations that want to facilitate the course on campus. So far, we are partnering with Chazak, Students in Support of Israel (SSI), Hillel, and Jewish National Fund’s alternative spring break trips, in offering the grant.
3. We  are working with many organizations to offer speaking engagements featuring Scott Shay. So far, JNF, Federations, and JCCs are very interested in bringing Scott to their constituents.
