Havdalah on Monday! by Reb Deb

Did you know that you can still make Havdalah today, Monday?

In fact, Havdalah may be observed as late as sunset of the Tuesday following Shabbat.

This was one of the facts that we learned in our three-part Sharing Shabbat series. The third part was held last Tuesday night, February 15. I had the pleasure and privilege of facilitating this most uplifting and meaningful series. We all shared memories and personal rituals associated with Shabbat, and people even shared treasured ritual objects that have been in their families for years.  It was a wonderful way for participants to get to know each other in a more intimate way.

Throughout our series, we shared text study and Shabbat music as we honored  each of the parts of Shabbat: Kabbalat Shabbat (Welcoming Shabbat) Shabbat, A Day of Renewal, and Havdalah: Saying Goodbye to Shabbat Until Next Week.

We hope that you will join us for our next virtual  Community Event: Purim Through the Time Machine, coming up on March 15 at 7:30 PM EST. If you’ve ever wondered what Esther, Mordechai, Haman, and Achashverosh would say if they experienced Purim in 2022, come find out! Here is a link to register.
