While we likely understand trust in others and in ourselves to be an important middah to cultivate, Jewish sacred literature only addresses the concept in reference to God. In this session we will explore the centrality of the Jewish concept of trust in God, while understanding that it can be a difficult belief for many Jews today. How might we best combine a trust in God and something outside of ourselves with a trust in ourselves and others, so that it is not an either-or proposition?
