Teshuvah is the theme of the High Holy Days, the time of the year allocated for introspection. However, if we expand our notion of this word — which has at its root the word shuv, “return” — teshuvah, in essence, means “homecoming.” The introspection we cultivate at this time of year might manifest as deep spiritual work – reorienting our lives spiritually.
