This talk focuses on the origin of international law, the international legal basis for the State of Israel, and how international law applies to this war and the conflict between Israelis, Palestinians, an other states in the Middle East.

Dr. Olga Kirschbaum-Shirazki is a historian, editor and co-founder of Tel Aviv Review of Books, and Visiting Fellow at the Tel Aviv Institute. She received her PhD in Modern European history from New York University focusing on inter-group and inter-faith relations as well as nationalism, colonialism, and international politics in the modern period.
