Virtual Mussar – Topic: Generosity/N’divut

The Hebrew word for generosity, n’divut נדיבות , is derived from the root n.d.v. – נ ד ב having to do with willingness. Therefore, unlike tzedakah which is a Jewish obligation based in justice, generosity comes from a place of an open and willing heart, going beyond the minimum that justice might require financially or emotionally. In this session, we will have an opportunity to reflect on the middah of generosity and the many ways in which such generosity may be expressed.
