The Hebrew prayer book and the Passover seder are both derived from the Hebrew root word seder, meaning “order.” Just as the prayer book contains a set order of worship, the Passover seder meal follows a set order of steps. What does it mean to take this notion of “order” and apply it to the rest of our lives? We will explore the ways in which we might be either overly rigid or overly lax regarding structures of time and space in our lives.
